oceansafety.info collects almost nothing. There are no accounts, no logins, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. The site sets no cookies.

The only place the site asks for personal information is the contact form. If you choose to use it, you provide your name, your email address, and your message. Nothing else is requested and nothing else is stored.

If you never use the contact form, this site collects no personally identifiable information about you.

Formspree delivers contact form submissions to the site owner by email. Your name, email address and message pass through and are stored by Formspree. They are used to answer you and for nothing else. They are never sold, rented, traded, or used for marketing.

GitHub Pages hosts this site. Like any web host, GitHub receives the network requests your browser makes, which include your IP address, and may keep them in its own server logs. The site owner has no access to those logs.

Google Fonts serves the two typefaces this site uses. Your browser requests them directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

NOAA and the National Weather Service supply the buoy readings and advisories. Those requests are made by your browser, through a Cloudflare proxy operated for this site, and carry no information about you beyond what any web request carries.

None of these parties collect personally identifiable information about your activity across other websites, and this site does not permit behavioral tracking or advertising of any kind.

This site does not track visitors across other websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. Browser Do Not Track signals are therefore not acted on, because no tracking occurs either way.

If you have used the contact form and want to see what was received, have it corrected, or have it deleted, email oceansafety.info@gmail.com and say so. The request will be honored.

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Visitors are encouraged to check this page when returning to the site.
